NIRI Silicon Valley Launches Password-Protected Website to Deliver Added Value to Membership
San Jose, Calif. - Apr. 24, 2008 - The Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) today announced it has launched a password-protected website to offer its membership timely access to pertinent investor relations and best practices information. The password-protected website features four categories of data, including:
- Best Practices Documents: Senior level IROs share best practices documents, articles, and templates to members of the NIRI Silicon Valley chapter. These reference materials are used to develop and execute successful investor relations programs.
- Seminar and Event Webcasts: The NIRI Silicon Valley chapter offers a full range of educational programs throughout the year. These programs are focused on helping members advance their discipline of investor relations practices. Seminar and event webcasts as well as speaking materials are made available to membership.
- Professional Development Opportunities: The NIRI Silicon Valley chapter provides access to numerous large and small cap companies viewed as global leaders in their industry. Varying levels of investor relations positions are featured on the website, offering members direct access to newly-posted opportunities.
- Mentor Program: The Mentor Program was established seven years ago to tap the wealth of experience from within our membership. Originally designed to help educate and support chapter members who are relatively new to the field of investor relations, this program has expanded to those who seek to refine their IR skill set or for those re-entering the field of investor relations.
"We are continuously evaluating ways to add value to our membership," said Michelle Levine, President of NIRI Silicon Valley Chapter. "This year we introduced a number of new programs and experimented with various themes and topics. One of those programs was our password-protected website which we completed and launched in a relatively short timeframe. The site is content-rich with material beneficial to anyone in the investor relations profession and we are pleased to offer this to our chapter membership."
