Dear NIRI Silicon Valley Chapter Members and Friends:
Your Silicon Valley Chapter Board strives to bring you a variety of high-caliber programs and speakers. Each program requires extensive planning and a financial commitment to cover the costs of the meeting logistics.
As a not-for-profit organization, NIRI is self-supporting for every event. The Chapter's goal is to break-even on meetings and events. However, no-shows and late cancellations may cause our Chapter to lose money, even as much as several hundred dollars. This is due to the guarantees and other fees that we must provide to our host hotels.
For these reasons, the Silicon Valley Chapter will strongly enforce our written Cancellation and No-Show Policy:
- All no-shows will be billed, or will have their credit card transaction completed.
- Only email cancellation requests sent to the program coordinator listed on the program announcement will be accepted.
- Cancellations must be made by email no less than two (2) days before the event.
- Cancellations, as outlined above, from those registrants who used credit cards will be forwarded to the Chapter Treasurer for reversal and these registrants will receive an email from the Treasurer noting the completion of the transaction reversal.
- This policy is incorporated by reference on each program and event announcement.
Thank you for your consideration and help in keeping the NIRI Silicon Valley Chapter fiscally strong.
